About the Hotel
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside takes its guests to the rural ambiance of Louisiana and invites them to delight in southern specialties in its restaurant, a venue with six food stations and two bars. This hotel features five pools and access to the Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter sister hotel, and shares with this a shelter-style island that resembles an abandoned sawmill with rustic-type pool and slide, and a fishing pond.
This resort in Lake Buena Vista has endless fun that includes an activities program with movies under the stars and family bonfires, as well as horse-drawn carriage rides and rental of bikes for four passengers. Its 2,048 guest rooms are equipped with mini-refrigerator and coffeemaker, and some of them enjoy views of the forest or the river. A couple of additional benefits of this hotel are free transportation within the Walt Disney World® resort, whether by bus or water taxi, and the acceptance of two dogs per room (fees and restrictions apply).
The property is located on the mouth of Sassagoula River, 5 kilometers (3.1 mi) from Epcot®, and 6 kilometers (3.7 mi) from the Disney Springs shopping area. Orlando International Airport (MCO) is 33 kilometers (20.5 mi) away.
